A bit about Tom

A childhood spent in a Lorimer castle and holiday jobs at Parrs in Broughty Ferry led Tom into architecture through a technical apprenticeship. He joined the Architecture course at Duncan of Jordanstone in 1978, and became fully qualified in 1985.

After winning the design competition for the SS Peter and Paul church at the Rosyth Naval base, Tom worked on large commercial projects with BDP in Glasgow in 1988. He stayed in Glasgow and is now a confirmed weegie, despite frequent trips home to Pitkerro.

Tom won the second Martin Jones scholarship in 1995, which allowed him to study architecture in Japan and the USA.

More recently Tom has been involved in care home design, working on projects all over Britain.

Since 2010 Tom has been working with Andrew on several projects in Glasgow, Stirling, Dundee and Perthshire.
