The existing house occupies two 19th century farm cottages, joined internally, with a newly built addition and link, erected approximately 20 years ago. The old part of the house forms a mezzanine level and the newer part is a 1.5 storey arrangement built down the bank from the old house. The link is mostly occupied by staircases connecting these different levels.
